I've been a member for a couple of months now and have enjoyed reading the messages everyday. Even though I've only officially been diagnosed with PsA for 6 months, I've lived with it for 12 years and have watched my Mother deteriorate with it for many years. At my urging she is going for her first Rhuemy visit next month. She is totally disabled now - so I'm not sure if they will be able to help her or not. It's actually more for closure for her at this point. For us - it's like finally seeing the face of your enemy. I'm on MTX and Humira now - am feeling better than I have in a long time. Long term use of NSAIDS (given by Specialists that missed some of the key symptoms) have left me with a nasty Acid Reflux problem - but we are working that too.... I live outside of Dallas and have found a wonderful Rhuemy! If anybody out there needs a referral - just let me know. She has turned my life around. Thanks for the opportunity to participate! Marion

Hi Marion, Its good to hear from you. I'm glad things are going ok for you at the moment but I'm sorry to hear that your mom is struggling with it. I hope they can help her in some way. I have the same problem as you with the acid reflux in recent months. I have been given a prescription for some med that should help. I can't remember the name of it. I haven't gone to get it yet. I guess I had better do that soon. Take care, Martin

Marion, I know it has been a couple of months since your posting but how did your mother come out when you took her for her first Rhuemy visit. Were they able to help her at all? How is she now? I am also a luker in the showdows but just had to find out how it turned out. Ya'll are in my thoughts and prayers! Kathleen
